I’m Jennifer Musick Wright, the founder of HEAL Raising Our World Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. My passion is to help others, especially the most vulnerable children of our world. I’ve traveled to Zimbabwe, Senegal and Kenya where I’ve encountered children with beautiful souls, aching for someone to care for them, to love them. It’s my dream to create homes for children all over the world.
My parent’s call me “the laser child”, because even as a young child, I would set my mind to a task and complete it, alway saying “I can do it!”. That’s how I feel about my work with HEAL. It’s not easy. Sometimes, I want to quit, but then I remember my children in Kenya, and all the children that I’ve met who need our love. My focus returns and I know that I can accomplish anything, regardless of the challenges that I might encounter along the way.
I’m incredibly blessed. My family and friends are very important to me. They keep me sane, and remind me to have fun. They provide me with the support and love that I need. I’m an aunt to my handsome nephews. I don’t know how we lived without them in our family before they were born. I love to throw parties. I love to travel. I’m adventurous. I’m not perfect. I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but I’m learning. Each day I try to live my life to the fullest. Sometimes I fail, but other times, I know I’m on way to becoming a better person.
I live my life with purpose, and I’m excited to share the journey with you through this blog. I can’t promise it will always be interesting, but I hope you join me anyway 🙂
